Aim of the procedure:
The aim of the procedure is to reposition the displaced otoliths present in your inner ear.
Preparation:
You need a flat surface, long enough for you to lie down flat with your head on either side.
It is preferrable to take adequate precautions to prevent you from falling like railings or having someone with you.
Performing the procedure:
Sit upright on the bed
Move to your left. You may start feeling dizzy. Keep your head angled upward. Remain in this position for 10 seconds or until the dizziness subsides.
Go back to the sitting position. Stay in sitting position for 30 seconds.
Now repeat the same procedure on the right side.
Repeat this 3 times per day adding up to 52 sets per day. Repeat this till complete relief from vertigo is obtained. In most persons this will be in about 10 days.

Suggested precautions when performing the exercise:
Sleep with head elevated. This can be done by elevating the head end of the bed to 45° or by the use two pillows.
During the day try to keep your head vertical.
Do not drive when on exercise.
Avoid exercises that involve a lot of head movements.
Avoid sleeping on the side that causes vertigo.
Don’t turn your head up or down.
